Adventure Bundle

My boyfriend literally said "we already walk her every day, what's the point of a book?" Two months later he's texting me from work asking when we're doing the next one and if he should pick up coffee for the drive. It accidentally turned into date night except our dog is there and honestly it's better than any restaurant we've been to. He won't admit I was right but he keeps suggesting we do two activities in one weekend so.

Hazel is 11. I debated for weeks whether to even buy it because I kept thinking it's too late, she's too old, I should have done something like this years ago. I genuinely almost didn't. She can't do everything in the book anymore. Some of it's too much for her joints now. But we've done 14 things. Fourteen. And I wrote little notes on every single one what she did, what she loved, the weird face she made when she tried the puppuccino. Last week she got the zoomies on the beach for the first time in two years and I have it on video. It's not too late. I really want someone who's thinking the same thing I was thinking to read this and know it is not too late. Start now.

I bought this in October and it sat on my kitchen counter for almost three weeks. I kept walking past it feeling guilty which is honestly a little ironic given why I bought it in the first place. I finally scratched off the first adventure on a random Tuesday because I had nothing else to do. It took maybe 45 minutes. Just me, Moose, and a new trail I'd never tried.
That was four months ago. We're on adventure 23 now.
The book doesn't require you to plan a whole day or drive somewhere fancy. Half of these we've done in our own neighborhood. It just gives you the push. You don't need more time you just need a reason to start. This is the reason.

I am the queen of buying things with good intentions and never using them. Planners, apps, journals, a ukulele, you name it. I genuinely bought this expecting the same outcome and I am on adventure 31. Something about scratching the thing off tricks your brain into just doing the next one. My therapist would probably have something to say about that but whatever, it's working.

My mom had a dog named Chester growing up and after he passed she always said the thing she regretted most was not having more written down. Not just photos on a phone, actually written down, proof of the little moments.
I thought about that a lot when I got Luna. Now I have a page in a book with her actual paw print on it and my handwriting and a note about how she barked at a goose for four straight minutes and absolutely refused to back down. I'm only on adventure 18 but I already know this is something I'm going to hold onto forever. Just buy it.

I kept saying I'd do more with Noodles "when things slow down" and I said that for basically three years. Things don't slow down — that's just not how life works. I did the first adventure on a Wednesday night after a terrible day, half asleep on the couch, it took 20 minutes, and she did her little spin thing she does when she's happy. We're on adventure 22 now. Stop waiting for calm down. It's not coming.

I think about the day I'm going to lose her more than is probably healthy. This helps me actually do something about it instead of just sitting with that feeling.

My friends make fun of me for how much I love my dog and I do not care even a little bit. Duke is 6 and I've had more intentional adventures with him in the last three months than in the three years before that. We've been to new parks, a dog-friendly brewery, and one of the activities was literally "let them pick out a toy" so he chose a stuffed hot dog and now I'm even more obsessed with him. Become that person. It's a great life.

I work 50-hour weeks and I've run out of excuses since buying this. Honestly some of the adventures fit in a lunch break if they have to.

honestly just what i needed

I lost my dog Charlie in 2021. 13 years old. And after he was gone the thing that hit me hardest wasn't even the grief, it was all the times i said tomorrow. The walks i cut short. The weekends i wasted. The guilt of that was something i genuinely wasn't prepared for.
When i got Luna i promised myself I was going to be different. but "being different" is vague and easy to put off. This book made it specific. Made it real. Every time i scratch one off i feel like i'm keeping a promise to her. And honestly to Charlie too.
I know that's a lot to put on a scratch off book but that's genuinely what it's become for me if any part of what i just said sounds familiar please just buy it.

It took awhile for it to arrive, but I am very impressed with it. It's a hard cover book with thick pages. I like that there is room to write notes about the adventure, and a place to attach photos.

Have yet to receive the book as I just ordered it. I am reviewing the ordering process only. If I could have canceled my order out of principal, I would have. So many add-ons and not clear about what you are getting, that it was very disappointing. Thought I was getting the book with the bundle but then it explained it's only electronic, doesn't include certain things and the extra add-ons just kept coming. I hate sellers that do this and I may make a return once I receive everything. Their marketing/sales tactics have been around playing games, saying they're canceling the book, last chance to get it then of course they are back again and then add ons galore!
